Domìni Veneti is the emblem of quality wines of the Valpolicella Classica and Veronese areas. It represents the most authentic expression of a well-defined territory from a geographical and historical point of view.

The area has been designated “Valpolicella Classica del vino” since 1968 as the production area of Valpolicella DOC wines. The territorial area includes the municipalities of the historical and geographical Valpolicella. The word “Classica” distinguishes the historical area from the so-called “enlarged” area, which includes the territories east of Verona.

It is therefore a very extensive territory, but also a well-identified one, which together with the variegated and particular properties of the native vines (Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Dindarella, Oseleta, Rossignola, Negrara, Forselina) and a deep respect for the land and traditional production techniques, determines the absolute originality of Valpolicella wines.

This is the heritage nature has given us, which must be respected and helped flourish.

Cantina Valpolicella Negrar and Domìni Veneti

In 1989 Cantina Valpolicella Negrar launched an articulated Quality Project: first it identified particularly suitable areas of Valpolicella, putting in a great deal of hard work alongside the grape-growers in order to obtain grapes of extraordinary quality. Their careful selection led to the creation of important crus and a line dedicated to the Domìni Veneti brand.

From a simple product line, today Domìni Veneti has become a veritable brand producing very prestigious Veronese wines, most of them cru, DOC, DOCG and IGT.

TRADITION AND INNOVATION

We work along a double thread: on one side with the historical past and our territory, on the other with a focus constantly turned to the future and to continuous innovation and experimentation at the Winery.

The name Domìni Veneti refers to the territories belonging to the Serenissima Republic of Venice of the 1500s, when it was at its largest; Valpolicella was an integral part of the same. The splendour of that era is evoked in the values of Domìni Veneti, whose production is sought-after and exclusive thanks to a heartfelt, passionate and incessant winemaking-oenological project that aims to enhance the marvelous typical wines of our territory.
